Announcing the Masterclass on Environmental Liability
Environmental law is central to biodiversity conservation, sustainable resource management and protecting human wellbeing. Operationalising this legislation relies entirely on capable and informed lawyers to forward cases, yet environmental law education is often absent or incomplete, leaving lawyers, prosecutors and judges ill-equipped to meaningfully implement the existing laws available to them.
This is why we have developed our Masterclass on Environmental Liability.
Co-developed with the Environmental Legal Assistance Centre in the Philippines and the IUCN World Commission on Environmental Law Biodiversity Law Specialist Group, the online programme will empower law students, civil society and government lawyers to use existing laws to remedy environmental harm, providing an educational model that can be scaled globally.
