  • Kevin has held leadership and teaching positions in South and West Africa, Central and North America, and Central Asia, and serves on various local, national and international Boards, including the Association for the Advancement of International Education, the Academy for International School Heads, the Center for the Advancement and Study of International Education, Horizons Atlanta, the Atlanta Area Association in Independent Schools, and the Buckhead Coalition.

    He has a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Framingham State College, a Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Biology and Chemistry from Cambridge University, and a Bachelor of Science (Hons.) Degree in Bacteriology and Virology from Manchester University.

Emily Coffey - Treasurer

  • Dr. Emily E. D. Coffey is Vice President of Conservation & Research at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, where she leads a multidisciplinary team advancing plant conservation science and practice. She joined ABG in 2017 after serving as Biology faculty at UNC Asheville. Coffey earned her B.S. in Biology from the University of Missouri–St. Louis and both her M.S. and Ph.D. in conservation biology from the University of Oxford, followed by postdoctoral research at Oxford’s Biodiversity Institute.

    Her expertise spans ex situ and in situ conservation, restoration ecology, community ecology, and biogeography, with field experience from the Appalachian bogs to the Galápagos Islands. Her research has been published in leading journals includingScienceandEcology. Coffey co-founded the Southeastern Plant Conservation Alliance and holds leadership roles with Botanic Gardens Conservation International (U.S.), the Center for Plant Conservation, and the IUCN Orchid Specialist Group, while also serving as adjunct faculty at Georgia Tech, Emory, and UNC Asheville.

Andrew Lemieux - Director

LEAD Conservation

  • Andrew manages LEAD Conservation's Problem Solving and Analysis program. The program’s purpose is to help government agencies and civil society organizations analyze wildlife protection problems and create holistic response plans that benefit wildlife and communities. Andrew provides training and mentorship to help organizations establish problem-solving teams, solve problems, and write up their experiences as case studies.

    Andrew was previously a researcher at the Netherlands Institute for the Study of Crime and Law Enforcement (NSCR) where he coordinated the Wildlife Crime and Wilderness Problems research theme. He holds a master’s in biochemistry and molecular biophysics from the University of Arizona and a doctorate in criminal justice from Rutgers University.
