The Rules of Procedure for Environmental Cases of the Supreme Court contain some of the most advanced provisions in PIL. Sections 4 and 5 of the Rules acknowledge the rights of any real party in interest, including entities authorized by law and even any Filipino citizen in representation of others, including minors or generations yet unborn to file a civil suit.
